How to move downloaded worlds from curse to minecraft

In Buffet worlds (both caves and single biomes) with Lush Caves or Dripstone Caves, underground villages do not appear. Neither do ordinary villages (which is to be expected, especially in caves), but the Stronghold mentioned in the description does. Bug?
